A name is powerful, but it’s just as important to have a visual identity to accompany that name. I create brand experiences for consumers that help build a deep brand connection. I help make visions a reality.

I was born in Oklahoma City in 1979. My dad, Bill Billen, was in advertising and taught me everything he knew. Some of my earliest memories include tagging along on late night press checks with my dad. The roaring sound of the presses and distinct smell of paper and ink is something I still enjoy.

I worked for several years as a designer at Callahan Creek in Lawrence, KS and later as a designer and illustrator at Jones Huyett Partners in Topeka, KS before being promoted to the Art Director at Jones Huyett Partners. I've served on the Board of Directors of the Mulvane Art Museum as well as on advisory boards for the Topeka public school system and the Washburn Institute of Technology.

I currently live in Lawrence, KS with my ever-supportive wife Rosa and my amazingly talented kids - Isaac, Flora and little Tula.
